Plent Marine Collagen is a pure source of collagen from sustainably farmed fish. This is good for the fish and the workers, but also for you because these farmed fish – unlike wild caught fish – is free of heavy metals such as lead and arsenic.

Fish collagen often contains heavy contaminants, such as arsenic and lead

It is crucial to understand that sustainability does not equal quality by default. Laboratory testing has shown that fish collagen from wild-caught cod - MSC certified or not - contains arsenic (and inorganic arsenic) and lead. Plent Marine Collagen is free of arsenic and lead, as confirmed by independent laboratory tests. This is one of the main reasons why we use collagen from farmed fish for our Fish Collagen.

You do not have to worry about any after-taste, unlike bovine and porcine collagen and other marine collagens in the market.
